Text Box: NEWCOMER’S PARTY Friday, November 4, 2005 7:30AM to ? Lake Doster Clubhouse Come meet your new neighbors and visit with old friends! All residents are invited to attend this LDHA sponsored event. Appetizers, wine, beer and soft drinks will be served. (Cash bar for other drinks.) A Keyboard artist will be providing music. This is an adult event. Please arrange for babysitters for your little ones. Volunteers are needed. (Casey gave the Plainwell Fire Dept. and Gun Plain Fire Dept. as an example.) · There are ongoing discussions between the City of Plainwell and the other municipalities which utilize Plainwell’s Sewage Treatment Plant. As Lake Doster is one of the key customers of this plant, Kevin Koch, Dave Fortune, and Ray Dertz indicated that they would be available to express the possible concerns of LDHA. LDLA Update - Ray Dertz · All lake residents received a letter dated Oct 7th laying out the past, present, and required future efforts of the LDLA to acquire Lake Doster. A copy of the letter will be available on www.lakedoster.org. New Business · Sidewalk on Doster Road- Dave Hurwitz briefed the Board on some preliminary thoughts for a sidewalk or pathway along Doster Rd which would run between S. Lake Doster Dr. and Drake Ct. This would allow residents to walk around the lake without walking on Doster Rd. It would also provide a safe place to walk for children who live on the west side of Doster Rd who are dropped off by the school bus on Drake Ct. Julie Born has contacted Barry County regarding the next steps required for this project. · Brusselman’s Park Maintenance- Since this property has been dedicated to the Markus Glen subdivision, the Board has alerted Lake Doster Development that the LDHA will no longer pay for lawn cutting at the Park. Discussions are ongoing with Lake Doster Development regarding the possibility of relocating the Park . Submitted by Ray Dertz Note: LDHA meetings will be moved to the second Tuesday of the month, due to clubhouse availability during the off season.
